Due to the lack of studies on insurance law, it is crucial to encourage the publication of specialized articles, books, and magazines.
From the very beginning, ETAD has participated in the debate on insurance law. In 1986, ETAD contributed to the creation and consolidation of “Seguros & Riscos”, the only magazine then dedicated to the matter. In 1997, ETAD took part in the launching of the “Revista Brasileira de Direito do Seguro”. In 2009, in collaboration with the Brazilian Insurance Law Institute (IBDS), ETAD contributed to the launch of the “Brazilian Magazine of Insurance Law and Civil Liability”.
In partnership with IBDS, ETAD also sponsors and produces books and films on insurance law. The bibliographic collection produced by IBDS today is comprised of dozens of volumes, and approximately twenty-two thousand copies have been distributed to national and foreign libraries and educational institutions, including the cinematographic productions, “Um pouco mais, um pouco menos” (2001) and “Reguladores: o seguro depois do acidente” (2009), of which more than three hundred copies were distributed to educational institutions, universities, and professionals in the field.
